CANTERBURY PRODUCE MARKET. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. Wet weather during the past few days has interrupted harvest operations, espeelally threshing out of the stook. A fair amount of grass seed and oats has been threshed, and some of the wheat is now about ready for the threshing uiUl. A few lines of oats have come on the market, anu several sales are reported. Algerian*-, according to weight, have been purchased at 2/9 to 3/, and Duns at 2/9, country stations. A large quantity of ryegrass, principally Italian, is now offering, and for the best samples buyers are willing to give 3/, but growers are generally asking more. n - LONDON MARKETS. LONDON. January 10. Metals. —Tin: On spot, £298 10/; three months, £292 15/. Silver: 45Jd. Other metals are unchanged. Butter, Cheese and Margerine.—The butter and margerine distribution has been rapidly absorbed. The controller will distribute 50 per cent of the January applications of cheese next week. Cereals.—Wheat cargoes and parcels are not offering. The commission released a small quantity on spot, which quickly sold at late rates. Flour is unchanged. The demand exceeds the supply. Oats, peas, and beans are firm at full prices. Sugar.—The market is unchanged.
