Miss Stella Smith, 8.A., of the staff of the -Mangere School, was selected by the City Library Committee yesterday from a number of applicants, for the position of cataloguer at the Auckland Public Library. Constable Robinson, of the Freeman's Bay police station, has been transferred to Seddonville, in the South Island. He has been stationed at Freeman's Bay for the last seven years. The R«v. Burgin, Chaplain to the Forces, who was gassed at the Somme and compelled to return to New Zealand, will relate his experiences to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the V.M.C.A. meetingß for men. - : - -
