So great was the rusu of pleasureseekers to Arkle's Bay and way ports this afternoon that the Oneroa went away packed at 1.30 p.m. Half an hour later the Orewa left, packed to the limit; in fact, a number of passengers were turned off, and the Waiotahi, which was running to Kawau, took the surplus pleasure-seekers to Arkle's Bay direct. Mr. Charles Weaver, president of the Waterside Workers' Union, and Mr. H. Hillier, secretary, write stating that Daniel Drummond, a witness in the betting case, was not a member of that union, as stated in our report of the case, and had never been a member.
