SOCIAL HYGIENE BILL.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHCRCH. Monday. At a public meeting to-night, presided over by the Mayor, and addressed by Dr. Maud Fere, the following resolution whs passed: "That this meeting of men and women of f'hristchurch heartily supports the Social Hygiene Bill now before Parliament, with the exception of Clause 19. which we strongly urge should be deleted, as it is at present worded; and, further, that a clause should he inserted providing for the compulsory confidential notification of venereal disease to a venereal diseases specialist, working in conjunction with a local medical officer of health."
