LAND LAW AMENDMENT.
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON", Monday. The Premier introduced the Land Law Amendment Rill to-night, stating that it contained a few departmental changes.' Mr. Hu.ldo aeked the Premier if he | would amend a clause in the Land Act I under which the owner of land acquired . by tho Government had the right to re- I tain one block notwithstanding he mkilit own thousands of acres. Thie would be an opportunity to put the law right. Mr.; Massey replied that he had trie.l to make the bill non-controversial, ami although ! the memlier would be perfectly in order in moving an mendinent he would aug- ' pest that it be postponed.
