(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) XAPIER, this day. In the Arson -charge againet Mr. and Mrs. Haynes. a verdict of "Not- guilty" •was returned. On. .a further charge "of haying made a .declaration against the female and abettinp ajjainst the male -prisoner', a verdict of "Gnilty" .Wae returned. The question of the validity of the verdict will, go to the Appeal Court, the defence claiming there was no evidence -that the declaration was lepl in form.
