* ■ ■ SUMMER MEETING. BELL GEAY WINS THE CUP. Tbe second day's racing in connection with tbe Otahulia Trotting Club's Summer Meeting took place at Epsom to-day. The weather was fine,, and there was a large attendance. Results:— TKIAL HAXPICAP (Saddle) of 7osovs. One mile and a-nalf. Mr A. E. Special Constable «nd Solon Dillon were first to show out from * good start. Casket •being the only one to fail to strike an immediate gait. Aβ they went along the beck Special Constable was showing the way to Le Laws and Bonny, the latter mixing it at this etage. Passing tbe stand Solon Dillon had rnn to the front, and showed the -way to Singlet, Btmny. and T.e 'Lawn. Crossing the top Bnnny. 6inglet. and •Lβ Lawn were on terms, the Jatter breaking, and Bnnny .wae flrtt to turn for home, followed by Singlet. Solon Dillon, and Le La-wn. In the run to the jndee Bnnny drew ont. and won easily by ei?ht lengths. Singlet broke at the lawn" rails. an<l just heat Le Lawn for second honours. Jaylyn was foortih. and then came Special Cona*le. Colon Dillon. Proud Moor, and Galoola. the last to ftnish being Erin's Belle. Time, 3.52 2-5. Le La-wn was fa-roorlte. Going alone the back Jfiobe was almost on terms with Ihnmata, with Winston M a length away, and Expressive within striking distance. Ihumata was first to tnrn for borne, closely pnrsued by Winston M. Nlobe compounded at the distance, while Winston M, finishing strongly, won by two length* from Expressive, with Ihnmata a length and a-half away, third. Nlobe was fourth. Miss Lonsdale fifth. Pacing alone the back the list time, Belle Gray was quite a dozen lengths out in front of Lady Wilmington, and this lead was maintained to the tnrn for home. In the rnn to tbe jn'lge the little chestnnt mare wes tiring fast, bnt lasted long enongh to "win by nine lengths from Lady Wilmington, which -was seven lengths in front of Wallace Wood.
