Tbe Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League collected over £30 at the annual show in aid of the Auckland Tricolour Day Fund. The collecting was done on People's Day by Mesdames Mcßae and Baxter and Misses Usher, Webster, and Townson. The retails in connection with the celebrations on St. Patrick's Day arc now complete, and they present some striking and original features ' The procession will leave St. Patrick's Cathedral via Albert, Quay, and Queen streets, karangahape Road, and Grafton Bridge, to the Domain. Some of the parishes are supplying decorated J 0 containing tableaux depictin™ Irish life and history. On arriv:ll a ? the Domain, Mass will be celebrated, on a specially-erected altar The sports programme, which contains no lew than 28 events, will commence at 1 o clock, and finish at 4. In the evening, in the Town Hall, there will be a national concert, in which the children j again play a prominent feature, supported by well-known local artists. |
