PROTECTION MOOTED
FOR CERTAIN INDUSTRIES. A SUBSIDY SYSTEM. (Received 10.5 a.m.) LONDON, January 19. The Board of Trade Advisory Committee's report, which will shortly be available, is understood to approve by a large majority the granting of subsidies and tariff protection to a number of industries, including papermaking, printing, and stationary, china, glassware, toys, jewellery, electrical apparatus, and building materials.
