A German communique states that General yon Hindcnburg forced the Russians tq retreat south-west of Dvinsk end repulsed a Russian attempt to break through at Orgon. The attack on the retreating Russians in tho Vilna district is proceeding, the Russians temporarily resisting at a few points Otiiy. General yon Macket_cn everywhere forced the Russians further back.
