Recruiting could be very much better, especially in Victoria. The British authorities had informed tho Australian Government that every man was wanted. Mr. Pearco said he knew there were difficulties in the way lof equipment which the Government j would surmount. He was confident that with t!:e realisation of the issue at stake Australia could double the number of her men in ti:e field.
