GERMAN ATTACKS ON OSOWIECZ FAIL.
BIG HOWITZERS ABANDONED BY BESIEGERS. ONLY FOUR BATTERIES MAINTAIN ATTACK. (Received 10.15 a.m.) PETROGRAD, March 24. It is officially announced that all the attacks upon Osowieez, in northwestern Poland, have proved unsuccessful. The Germans previously abandoned two 42-centimetre howitzers. Now only four batteries remain.
