CTTYLEB. HASTINGS DEAD. (Times-Sydney San Special Cable.) NEW YORK, January 12. Cuyler Hastings, the well known actor, whose fine delineation of Sherlock Holmes has been seen pretty well all o*er the world, died hy his own hand in New York yesterday. He had been suffering from nervous strain for some time, and shct himself in his own room. Cuyler Hastings was in Australia and New Zealand some years ago. His most •widely known character was that of Sherlock Holmes, for which he was so admirahly suited in every respect.
