Sir Harold Hannswort'n, who has just been created a baron, is starting another Liberal daily in opposition to those in which his brother, Lord Northclifle, is ; interested. The new peer has bought the "Daily Mirror," and intends to convert it into a Liberal paper. Sir itarold Harmswbrth is already larp-jiy interested in Liberal newspapers, including the "Daily Record," and "Mail" i'l Glasgow, and ■ the -"Mercury" in Leeds. He endowed the King Edward VII. Chair of English Literature at Cambridge University, and has done a great leal, financially and otherwise, towards -promoting the success of the County of Lindon and other connty Territorial As^nciations in their efforts to obtain reeru>s.
