MAJOR AND HOUSEMAID.
DIVORCE COURT STORIES.
(Received ILIS a-m.)
LONDON, December 19,
Mary Agnes Verekir has been granted a decree nisi, with costs, on the ground of her husband's cruelty and adultery with a housemaid.
The petitioner alleged that Major Verekir objected to her sport and bridgeplaying, and also to her friends at their country house at Clivedon. He had a violent temper, and retired for long periods to a tower room, where he drew a skull and crossbones. under which he wrote reflecting upon her chastity, and stating that his wife's friends' remarks in the visiting book disclosed a low moral tone.
