CITIES AND SUBURBS. ' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. There were- So deaths of persons of Go ( years and upwards in the four chief cities and their suburban boroughs during November, as against 81 in October. The death-rate per 1.000 of the population was as follows: — Auckland city, . 1.12; Auckland and eight suburban . boroughs, O.BS. Wellington city, 0.86. Wellington and four suburban borou£rhs. 0.85. Christchurch city, 1.09. Christchurch and four suburban boroughs, 1.08. Dunedin city, 1.11; Dimedin and six suburban boroughs, 1.00. Including t|ie suburbs, the rate at Chriatchurch is the highest, and at Wellington the lowest. The total births in the four chief cities and their siAurban borough* amounted to 753. The deaths in Jfevember were 266, an increase of 17 as compared with last -month. Of the total deaths males contributed. 149 and females 117. Sixty of the deaths were of children under fire years of age, being 22.57 per cent of -the wholfr -number; 53 of these were -under one year of age.
