BAYONETED.
TBKMTOBZA&S WHO W_B_ LATE. SEHTBT DOES HIS 8-TT. THREE MEN IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Own ComsspoaAent.) PAPATOETOE, this day. A somewhat sensational affair took place at the Territorial camp/ at Papatoetoe last night. The Third Regiment was supposed to be a sleeping camp, since lights hud long been out. Three private*, however, had managed to make good their way through the lines, and carried Out their intention to visit a neighbouring orchardIt was not until they essayed to return in like manner that troahte occurred. Shadowy forms, stealing through the darkness, caught the eye of a sentry. They were challenged, but persisted in their endeavour to get through the lines. The sentry bad high notions of duty, however, and he proceeded to carry ont the letter of his instruction*. He called on the men to halt,, and when tbey did not obey he _ed ins i-oyonet on tbe whole three. One received a bayonet wound beside the left eye, another a wound below the jaw, and the third was run through the hack of t„e thigh. All .had to be taken to tbe hospital. To-day they are maicTng satisfactory 'PK-Tress, and their wounds art not considered to be serious.
