A female first offender was convicted and discharged, and seven males were fined 5/ each, while an offender who did not appear had his bail of £1 forfeited. Samuel Ffenton was fined 10/, and a native, Peter Rata, was fined 5/ for drunkenness, and £ 1 for committing an indecent act. Mary Ann O'Brien, who was up ior the fourteenth time since sth January for drunkenness and breaches of her prohibition order, was ordered a sojourn of twelve months at Psiatoa Island. Margaret Piper, alias Bras] in, for being drunk and soliciting prostitution, was fined £2, in default 14 days. A WATEKFBONT TROUBLE. William Thomas Tansley yesterday bad an altercation with Henry Frant, stevedore, as to the position he shonld have in the line discharging a ship, and as the stevedore walked along Tasnley followed him and struck him on the mouth, breaking his artificial teeth badly and lacerating his lips. Chas. Devonintervened, and also received a share of the displeasure that Tansley was handing out in tangible form. Two charges of assault were the result, and Tansley was fined £L,-and ordered to pay £5 to■wards the-cost-of repairing tb» taath, in default 14 days is gaol. Ha wsaaUow.
