(Keceived 8.50 a.m.); LONDON, June 16. • Sir Hugh Bell, ironmaster and colliery owner, speaking at the Free Trade Union .meeting, said the production of the iron and steel companies in the United States had grown at a greater rate than in Britain, solely because they had immenst stores of iron ores, whilst Britain's wen practially exhausted. He quoted statistics to show that thi iron trade had not suffered by the absenci of protection.
