There was fine weather for the-second day's meeting of the Rotoraa Racing Club, and the attendance was but.little short of that of the first day. The fields were not so large, bnt the races were well contested, and the finishes close. The results were.— . Second Hurdles.—Walmutu, 0.4, 1; Melton Hall, 9.8, 2; Lady Ellen, 9.2, 3. Also started: Anna Lombard, 11.10; All Fours, 9.0. Anna Lombard fell at the first hurdle. Time, 3.25 2-5. •President's Handicap.—Azoff, 8.5, 1; Discoverer, 8.0, 2; Frontino, 8.3, 3. Delightful : weather was experienced for ! the concluding day of - the WoodvUle -Jockey Club's autumn meeting. The attendance was very satisfactory, but not quite so large as the previous day. The sum of £6280 was ,put through the totalisator. making » total of £13,710 for the in'eetlirt?,.a decrease of £3331 compared With the' corresponding meeting last year.. Sixbookmakers were licensed.; and the fees from that source for the two days amount-' ed to £300. In the Allen ton Handicap at the Ashburton Trotting 1 Clubls summer meeting today. McAV. Tapp's Dick' Fly (driver, M. Edwards) broke the "Australasian record for one mile and a half, doing the distance in 3.24. The club presented a gold medal to Edwards. The previous record was 3:281 HTJNTLY RACING CLUB'S ANNUAL "- ' MEETING. ', The annual meeting of the Huntly Racing- Club takes place at Huntly to-morrow (Saturday). The club~have recently had their course considerably improved, and no 'stone has' been' left -unturned to make' the gathering a' successful one. : Special train arrangements have . been made, enabling visitors to Journey to iHuntly by the 10 a.m. express, returning leaving Huntly at 7.30 p.m.
