The Hon. Geo. Fowlds. Minister for Education, returns to Auckland -via the Main Trunk line on Saturday evening.
Mr W. Miller, of Gisborne, who has been on a world's tour, returns to New Zealand next week.
Mr SI. A. Philips, of New York, who is touring the Dominion arrived, from the South this morning, and is staying at the Grand Hotel.
The officers and members of the Premier Kenic Committee last evening- entertained Bro; A. Kolin. and presented him with an illuminated address on the occasion of Ills marriage. • A presentation was also made to Bro. P. M. Hansen.
Admiral Sir A. W. Moore, who was commander-in-chief of the China station, in 1906, was a passenger to Wellington by the Warritnoo yesterday. The admiral will spend some time itt New Zealand. • He served in the Egyptian war in 1882, and was one of the Eng-lish representatives at the Anti-Slavery Congress at Brussels. He was also a member of the Australian Council of Defence, and a Lord Commissioner of the Admiralty from 1898 to 1901. In 1905 lie was second in command of the Channel fleet.-—Press Association.
