ESTAELISHESTG A LONDOST SYSTEM. (By TelegrapTi.—Press Assoclatlon.l WELLINGTON, Monday, interviewed by a "Post" representative to-day, the Minister for Agriculture (the Hon. E. McNab) :said: "Mr. C. J. Reakes, Assistant-Chief Veterinarian, and Mr. D. Cuddie, Dairy Commissioner, are returning to New Zealand. They recently proceeded to London under instructions from the Government to initiate a system of control of the meat supply on the one hand and dairy produce on the other, with a view of ascertaining the effect produced 'by transit and the condition of the meat from a veterinarian's point of view, and on the dairy produce from the grader's point of view, after their long journey Home. Mr. Reakes will leave in charge a" veterinary surgeon who formerly was on the staff in New Zealand, and probably later on a grader from the Dominion iwill visit London to take up the work inaugurated by Mr. Cuddie. As a lot of the work and most of the research are of a highly technical nature, they have not been made the subjects of reports v/ Messrs. Reakes and Cuddie, but these officers will furnish the. Government-vvith all the information they possess on their return to the Dominion.' ,
