BOROUGH COUNCILS.
MOUNT EDEN. The ordinary meeting of the Mt. Eden Borough Council was held last night. Present: Mr 0. Nicholson (Mayor), Councillors Tunks, Davis, Yates, Burns, Woolley, Crndge, Warnock, Ross, Potter, Hooton, Jacka,. and Hudson. finance.—The district fund shows a credit of £516. The borough loan No. 1 separate account now stands £232 in credit. Tenders.—The following tenders of Mr J. J. Craig were accepted:—Metal 1/7, scoria 1/7J, blinding l/7i, rough scoria 3/9, fine scoria 4/3, one horse and dray 13/, two horses and two drays 21/, and two horses and one dray 21/Street Permanent Levels.—lt was resolved that if satisfactory arrangements as to salary can be made with Mr M. R. Creagh, he should be appointed, in conjunction with his present work of street construction, to take the permanent levels throughout the- district, the arrangement to be left to a committee of the Mayor, Councillors Tunks.
