WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
.The Waitemata County Council held Its monthly meeting yesterday, Mr J. H. | O'Neil (chairman) presiding, the others present being Messrs H. Cadness, F. Dye, T. Horton, H. H. Adams. J. JicLeod, A. Cochrau, and A. J. Hatlleld. Hospital Expenditure.—The Council's representative on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. Mr A. Bruce, addressed the Board on the' suliject of hospital- expenditure, and was accorded a vote of confidence, the delegates being instructed to support his candidature at the forthcoming, election. ... . . ... Wliaugaparoa.—After hearing a deputation on the subject, the Council instructed the Finance Committee to report mi the allocation of expenditure lii the Whangaparoa district. The Council decided 1 o take under the Public Works Act a strip of land at the head of the wharf, in order, to settle an old dispute. Kuinen Riding.—The following works were authorised for the coming season: — Repairs to West Coast Road (Motutawia), £50; Museum Endowment Koad, £40; Church Hill (Taupaki), 100 yds of scoria; Riverhead WTiarf Road, 50yds of metnl; Rewiti, 50yds of scoria: repairs to Taupaki bridge, £30: repairs to main road, £40; formation of Hand's new road. £-10. , Rangers.—W. Hambly was appointed ranker and poundkecper foe Henderson and surr.ouTidinp districts. ,aml 11. Newman was appointed for Mairetaul district (Heleaaylirp).
