THE NEW 'FRISCO SERVICE.
Private advice has been received in Auckland that representatives of Messrs A. Weir and Co. and Frank Waterhouse and Co., of Seattle, had been in San Francisco making arrangements in connection with, the new American service to the Australian States, via Auckland. The steamer Foreric, leaving San Francisco on August 10th next, will inaugurate the service, and, thereafter, steamers will be dispatched at intervals of one month. Besides the Foreric, the Boveric, Ineric, Gymexic, and Tymeric, of the Weir line, will be engaged in the trade. These vessels range from 5700 to 7500 tons. Messrs H. M. Newhall and Co. will be the agents in San Francisco, and Mr A. 8. Darrow, of that city, has been appointed contract forwarding agent. Messrs Frank Waterhouse and Co. will manage the. line. So far as can be ascertained, no agents have yet been appointed in New Zealand.
