SWIMMING.
A DISTRICT SCHEME PROPOSED
At a meeting held in the Sports Club lust night. It was decided to form a swimming club in connection with the City CMsttlct Football Club, the boundaries of tlio foolball district to apply. Mr G. Donaldson, vice-presidejit, said he believed that other clubs would follow suit. Swimming had not been catered for lately, and there was plenty of room for four clubs in Auckland. The following officers were elected:—President, the' Mayor (Mr Arthur Myers); vicepresidents, those acting for the football ekib and Messrs A. Kohn and T. Gray; secretary, Mr G. Donaldson; treasurer, Mr V. Goldwater; committee, Messrs G. A. Tyler, J. Bndean, J. Millioney, D. Neven, i>. Kean, A. MclWione, and F. Gladding. A numtoej- intimated their intoation of joining.
