KILLED THROUGH OVEREXCITEMENT.
INCIDENT AT A FOOTBALL MATCH. PERTH, September 17. A death in rather sensational circumstances occurred a>t Fremantle on Saturday, during the progress of a premiership football match between Est Fremantle and Perth. Among a large crowd the grandstand was Thomas Kennedy, a well-known commercial traveller, and brother of one of the Perth players. Kennedy barracked vociferously for Perth, and was observed by thosn around him to be in almost a painful condition with excitement. The game was at its interesting period, when Kennedy, with a groan, fell heavily to the ground, apparently in a swoon. He was picked Up and conveyed to a room hi the grandstand, when restoratives were applied, preparatory to his being conveyed to the hospital. They failed to bring him round, and on arrirnl at the Fremantle Hospital life wns fornd to bs extinct. The causa of death was heart failure, brought on by ovex-exeitenient.
