IN BANKRUPTCY.
Since Friday the filings in bankruptcy have averaged one per day. To-day another ease was brought before the Official Assignee. The debtor is E. Hardrill, produce merchant of Paeroa, and he has been adjudged a bankrupt upon a creditor's petition. The first meeting of creditors will be held on December 30.
In the ease of John Sinclair Irvine, storekeeper, of Otahuhu, a statement of the bankrupt's affairs has been lodged with the Assignee. It shows that to 39 unsecured creditors he owes £ 1872 14/10, against which there are assets of a total value of £ 1521 6/2. The principal creditors are Brisco and Co.. £291 9/9; T. and S. Morrin Co-, Ltd., £257; Wm- Moore (Auckland, and Joseph Irvine, farmer, of Oamaru, £200 each; A. J. Entriean and Co., £130 14/10; Mrs Clark (Auckland), £100; Brown, Barrett and Co., £84 1/3; Leyland, O'Brien Co., Ltd., £93 18/10; L. i. Nathan and Co., £95 11/3; J. Scliiska, £70 l/o. The first mating of creditors will be held on Christmas Eve.
