IN BANKRUPTCY.

Since Friday the filings in bankruptcy have averaged one per day. To-day another ease was brought before the Official Assignee. The debtor is E. Hardrill, produce merchant of Paeroa, and he has been adjudged a bankrupt upon a creditor's petition. The first meeting of creditors will be held on December 30.

In the ease of John Sinclair Irvine, storekeeper, of Otahuhu, a statement of the bankrupt's affairs has been lodged with the Assignee. It shows that to 39 unsecured creditors he owes £ 1872 14/10, against which there are assets of a total value of £ 1521 6/2. The principal creditors are Brisco and Co.. £291 9/9; T. and S. The first mating of creditors will be held on Christmas Eve.
