COURT CITY OF AUCKJLAND No. 39TS, A.O.F. The ajxnnal meeting of the above Court was held last night in the' hall, Karanga<hape road. There was a very large attendance. After the usual business, Bro. Sheppard, P.D.C.E., one of the delegates on annual Picnic Committee, stated that it was decided to hold the annual picnic at Papakura Domain on Saturday* February 13th, 1004, on which occasion the Foresters were expected to attend in thousands, which he (Bro.'Sheppard) had no doubt would be the case, as the whole of the courts in the Auckland province had taken up the matter con amore. The election of officers for the ensuing term was tUt-n proceeded with. C.R. Bro. Charles P. Stichbury; S.C.R., Bro. R. Darlow; S.W., Kro. Snaerdon (re-elected); J.W., Bro. Harding (re-elected); 5.8., Bro. J. Fairweather: J. 8., Kro. W. J. Veale; sec, Bro. J. Robinson (re-elected); treasurer, Bro. E. Anger (re-elected); assistant secretary, Hr. J. Smith (re-elected); surgeons, Drs. (,'oom, Inglis, and Darby; delegates to district meeting, Bros. Carlaw, Siine, Robinson, Sheppard, P.IXCR.'s, and C. P. Stichbury, C.K. The scrutineers were Bro. Andrews, P.D.C.R., and Bro. Kennedy, P.C.R.; installing: officers, Bros. Siine and Sheppard, P.D.C.R.'s. A cordial vote of thanks was placed on record to the retiring officers for their services during the past term, and the usual honours to the retiring C.R., Bro. Ernest Jones. Several candidates were initiated, and three were proposed for membership, which will bring the membership up to about 414, the greatest Court of Forestry in the colony. The C.R. (Bro. C. P. Stichbury) closed the Court with the usual formula at 10.45 p.m.
