AMUSEMENTS.

©•ABC'S PANTOMIME COMPANY. The Opera House entertainment is earning a great deal of popularity, the varied aud novel performance of D'Arc's Pantomime Company being really worth a visit. Fresh items are introduced from time to time, but the pantomime, "Bluebeard," and the marvellously pretty transformation scene are features which are still retained. A matinee, with cheap admission prices for children, takes place to-morrow afternoon.

"MISTAKES WILL, HAPPEN^ — Elaborate preparations are in progress at Uis Mujesty's Theatre for Saturday's performance of the great laughing success, "Mistakes Will Happen," to be staged under the spirited management of Willoughby and Geaeh. The only surprising part about the piece is that such a pleasant evening's entertainment can be provided out of such a slender story. A piece like "What Happened to Jones" was simple enough, but "Mistakes Will Happen" is much simpler, and provides as much laughter. There is daily a big demand for seats at Wildman, Lyell and Arey's.

THE SLAPOFFSKI CONCERT. On the opening of the box office yesterday at Messrs Wildman, Lyell, and Arey'a a brisk demand set in for seats for the great inusi-cal event of Christmas Night—the appearance of the famous prima donna, Madame Slapoffski, supported by a number of Australian and English artistes in a grand special concert. A very ample and attractive programme has been arranged, particulars of which will be announced to-morrow.

THE FITZIIAURICE GILL SEASON. The members of Miss Fitzmaurice Gill's Company having duly arrived in Auckland, all hands are now busily engaged in preparation for the grand production of "The Bank of England," with wliieh the season will open on Boxing Night.
