CONCERT AT THE TABERNACLE. The Baptist Tabernacle choir, assisted by friends, gave an enjoyable sacred concert last night In the church, a collection being taken in aid of the Sunday-school fund. Mr A. J. liall conducted, and the choir sang several choruses from "The Mi-seiah" and other oratorios in excellent taste. Mr li. Wells sang two solos, and acted as accompanist (luring the evening. Solos were also sung by Miss V. Ellingham, Mr Heath and Mr Robertson. CHRISTY MINSTRELS. Members of St. Thomas' Chnrch choir gave a Christy Minstrel entertainment In the Federal Hall last evening in aid of the choir fund. There was a good attendance. The entertainment was very enjoyable, the chorus singing being particularly good. The performers were Miss Queenle Boult, Messrs A. Richmond, T. Dunnlnghuin, Armiger, A. Bruce, Irving, 11. Watts, E. Corulsh, Payne, K. Watts and J. Soreusen. The entertainment concluded with the farce, "That Boy Pete." NATIVES' ASSOCIATION CONCERT. His Majesty's Theatre was fairly well attended last evening, when l the New Zealand and Australian Natives' Association gave a concert iv aid of the fund for purchasing Christmas toys for the children in the orphan homes and other institutions for children in the city. An enjoyable programme was submitted, oncores being demanded for many of the items. The concert was opened by an orchestral selection ably contributed by the Imperial Mandolin, Banjo and Guitar Orchestra under the conductorshlp of Mr A. A. Paj-trlilge. A charming raise, "The June Briile," was contributed later in the evening by the orchestra. Miss Maud Howard sang "My Dreams" and Tosti's "Good-bye" in excellent style, and was loudly applauded. The Walata Quartette Club gave two very enjoyable items, an encore being demanded In each case. Miss Ivy Anslpy contributed "TTarbonr Bay," and Miss Mariemme Taylor "Waiting," wirh "May Morning" as an encore. Mr Hamilton Hodges sang 'The RVift" with his usual ahillty, and Mx A. Ford gave "A Rose at Last." Recitations were contributed by Mr F. E. B-aume, M1 T R who. in response to an encore to "St. Michael's," pave "Tommy Atkins," and by Mr R. A. Keenan, "Napoleon." The concert was under the direction of Mr Arthur Towsey.
