In conneotion with the death of the Pope resolutions of sympathy were proposed in the House of Representatives by Mr Seddon and in the Legislative Council by the Hon. Mr Pitt (AttorneyGeneral). The House did not adjourn.
A magnificent and specially-prepared! portrait of the late Sovereign Pontiff Pope Leo XIIL, 13* in by 9Jin in size will appear in to-morrow's issue of the "New Zealand Graphic." Early orders should be left as a large run is anticipated.
