FARMERS' UNION

PALMEBSTOX NOKTH, Saturday.
On the Farmers' Union Conference resuming this morningl, delegates expressed dissent with the Fair Kent Bill, and decided to approve of the scheme drawn up by the Taranaki conference for co-operative fire insurance. It was resolved that the Government be asked to bring- "in a Compulsory Accident Insurance Bill on the. lines of the German Act. It was decided that the proposed amalgamation of the producers' Uoiion with the Farmers' Union be not entertained, members of the Producers' Union to be welcomed as ordinary members of the Farmers' Union. The selection of an official organ for the Farmers' Union was left to the Executive.
