VOLUNTEER VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH.
(To the Editor.}
■ Sir, —Jnst a few lines in answer to the volunteer of No. 1 Natives, as two of my sons started to go to the Christchurch review. One of them, belonging to No. 3 Natives, arrived all right, after a rather rough passage, the other going- into the hospital at Wellington through having a fail down the hatch on the steamer. Now, sir, my son is rather surprised at reading the letter about the treatment, as it was most disgraceful treatment that the Auckland volunteers received, as there was no provision made for their visit, and the food was very bad, and very little of it at that. After the treatment they I got my sons have determined to give volunteering best until it is on a better footings—l am, etc., E. B. E. TURNER.
