A report was read from Dr. Hooper ro dispensary work, stating that the month ot February bad been a healthy one, as compared with other years. A letter was read from the Lands Ollice re the lillerslle reserve, slating that if the Board had any objection to this land being disposed of it should show reason. Ml- Btlchbury suid the prospective value of the land at Ellersllo .should be paid for by a grant of equivalent value. Mr Warren moved that tho Government be asked to .submit details of laud proposed to be given in exchange for that at Ellerslle. Mr Stichbury seconded the motion. Mr Garland said he .considered the land at Kilershe whs worth £;iGOO, but he would not like to exchange that piece for £3500 worth of land at Go verninent valuation in the back blocks. Air Gordon strongly condemned tbe action *.' the Agricultural Association in soliciting from the Government a valuable hospital reserve without first consulting the Board. After some discussion Mr Warren's motion was adopted. The Public Trustee wrote notifying there was a credit balance of £3012 due the Board on account of rents, etc., for Hospital reserves for 1900. The Medical Officer reported there were 105 mule.3 and 44 females in the Hospital. The statement of accounts showed that lasL month the debit balance was £2402 9/u, and the expenditure since £1252 12/11. The receipts were, subsidy £1717 19/5, and contributions £1527 19/9, total £^240 19/2, leaving a debit bnlanee of £409. The local bodies' contributions unpaid totalled £3UJ. It was resolved to take legal steps to recover overdue contributions. •
