MEDICAL ASSOCIATION.

WANGANUI, Monday
The annual meeting of the New Zealand.branch of the British Medical Association was. opened here, this morning. Dr. Yourfg (Wellington) was appointed delegate to represent New Zealand at the annual meeting of the English Association. Dr. Colquhoun (Dunedin) was elected president of the next conference. Dr. Collins was elected president of the Council, and Dr. Campbell (Christehurch) parliamentary secretary. Dr. Mason was re-elected editor of the .New Zealand Medical Journal, and it was decided to invite the centres to appoint sub-editors. At the evening session, Dr. Thomas, the retiring president, inducted the presidentelect, Dr. Sauuders, into the chair. Dr. Saundere delivered a thoughtful and instructive address on some diseases incidental to school life, with methods for combating them. On the motion of Dr. Mason a vote ot thanks was accorded to Dr. Saunders.
