SHOOTING MATCH.
The shooting match, Waikato Mounted Rifles v. Civilians, resulted in a win for the volunteers. The ranges were 200, 500 and 600 yards. The following are the scores:—Mounted Rifles: Heather 54, Cox 53 Wyman 42, Chitty 38, Higginson 38, Cowley 37, Davis 30; total 292. Civilians: Dey 58, Pearson 48, Biggs 36, Coyle 31, Bdgecumbe 30, Sandes 28, Jolly 21; total 258. 1 THE AGRICULTURAL SHOW. A meeting of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yesterday. Stewards and other officials were appointed in connection -with the forthcoming show. The Railway Department signified its intention of making another entrance for cattle from the show ground to allow the main entrance to be used by spectators alone. The tender of Mr Stillwell, Parnell, (£lO 10/) was accepted for the luncheon. HOSPITAL BOARD. . The Hospital Board met to-day. Replies were received from the Auckland and Napier Boards re arrangements existing between the Hospital Boards and Friendly Societies. The question was deferred for a month. Dr. McGregor agreed to forego £28 for the treatment of two Waikato patients at the Rotorua Sanatorium under exceptional circumstances, but this must not be taken as a precedent in the future After considerable discussion it was decided to adhere to the previous resolution to defray half the cost of installing incandescent burners in the Hospital. Nurse Kerr was appointed charge nurse, the appointment to date from June. A resolution was passed instructing the House
Committee to inspect the books of the Board once a month to see that they were kept up to date. ,
