SCENERY CONSERVATION SOCIETY.

(To the Editor.)

Sir,—Will you permit me to correct two errors in your report of the last meeting of the of the Auckland Scenery Conservation Society.. 1. The Rev. Mr Beatty has retired from the Committee owing to pressure of business, but I am happy to say he is still a member of the Society.

2. With respect to the statements that the trees in Jervois Road and Beach Road are improperly pruned, the resolution proposed by the Mayor was that the Superintendent of Parks be asked to attend our next meeting of Committee (not the City Council) for the purpose of making explanation.—l am, etc.,

ALBERT J. ALLOM, Secretary.
