ATHLETICS.
AMATEUR ATHLETIC AND CYCLE CLUB.
A meeting of the Management Committee of the A.A.A. and C.C. was held In the Sports' Club rooms last night, M. C. E. MacCormick In the chair. It was decided to nominate Mr S. Thorne George (Club President) Vice-President of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. The annual meeting was fixed for Friday, September 27, Messrs F. J. Ohlson (hon. secretary) and T. Davles being appointed to draw up a report. The secretary notified that D. Wilson had unofficially notified his readiness to compete at the next carnival provided that H. Goodwin, champion of New Zealand, would come up from Wellington. The matter of inviting Goodwin was left in the hands of the incoming Committee.
