UNIVERSITY V. PANMURE.
This match was played at Panmure on Saturday, the home team winning by v points to 0. In the first spell two tries were obtained for Panmure by Gavin and Looinb, while for the University E. Mules kicked a good foul from v free kick. 1« the second spell the University had the best of the name, but did not use their chances, each side scoring a try. For the winners Looinb, Smith, Ryburn, und G. Flemmlng were the most prominent, while for the losers M. Gruy played a Hue game, and A. bray, Mules, Beale, and Halllwell also played well. NELSON COLLEGE CONTESTS. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) NELSON, tbis day. In a seveu-n-slde tournament for the cup of the president of the Nelson Rugby Union (Mr w; S. Llttiejohu, who .Is also president of the New Zealand Rugby Union), Nelson College team beat Nelson Club iv the fvna round by 20 points to 8. The principal scorera for the College were Moyes and C. Hamilton (two tries each). G. Fell played a splend'd game, and did magnificent pacekleklng, converting the whole of the College tries. College played a remarkably fleet and scientific game. Their win was very popular, as College defeated the winners of the senior cup, the rival club. Every member of the College team was cheered and carried off the field amid tremendous enthusiasm, and the boys got a holiday at the College for the splendid win.
