CELEBRATING PRETORIA'S FALL.
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —Whilst some uncertainty exists regarding the day to celebrate the "Occupation of Pretoria by the British," I would like to draw the attention of persons.likely to fix that day to the fact that the 18th June (Monday) is the anniversary of Waterloo. This fact may be forgotten in our present flush of excitement, but it would be a real "English Jubilation" to remember Waterloo and Pretoria on the same day,, unless decided events (which we have not received to hand yet) force us to explode our excitement before that date.—l am, etc., S. O. JACKSON.
