SOME NUTS TO CRACK.
I (To the Editor.) Sir,—What on earth does your corj respondent Mr P. A. Philips mean by "The Loyalist Section of Her Gracious! Majesty the Queen." Are we to sup-i pose that our Imperial Ruler is thus ! divided within herself? And wherein I is P.A.P.'s grievance that "H.J." does! not inform the public that Cecil! Rhodes and Robinson are Jews? On | examination I much doubt if these! gentlemen would turn out to belong! to the Hebrew persuasion. Again I! fail to see that Captain Johnson's let-1 ter was written in the interest of the Boers, for so far as I could mentally ' digest his correspondence it was alto-1 gether taking the side of the middle- j men and white miners, as against the I big Jew and Gentile company mong- j jers. As regards "Religious Liberty"! in the Captain's letter the word relig-. ion was never mentioned nor inferred —he is the least bigot ted of men for beyond a belief in a Creation or First Cause and the acknowledgment of Jesus Christ as the best man that ever walked this earth I doubt if he bows! to any particular Faith.—l am, etc., i MYSTIFIED.' !
