Mr Harkness, Chairma of the National Dairy Association, had an intervieAV Avith the Premier in collection AA-ith the supposed necessity of dairj' factory managers being required to hold certificates of competency to drive factory machinery. The Premier gave an assurance that the dairy industry Avould not be interfered with in that direction.

The Agricultural Department is receiving letters from all parts of the colony expressing satisfaction AA-ith the Avork of the dairy staff. There is eA-ery indication that the output of produce will be greater than ever. Cattle Avintered well, and are in excellent condition.
