THE GAIETY COMPANY.

Aucklanders who like a good variety entertainment, together with excellent music, cannot do better than pay a visit to the City Hall, where the Gaiety Minstrel and Specialty Company are doing splendid business, and providing first-class concert and specialty programmes. Last night there was another crowded house in the City Hall, and the performance went off as successfully as ever. The first part, "The Aerial Garden Party," was much admired, and the songs - and minstrel choruses were of the best. In the second part Mr Shepherd and Miss Lewis were encored for their very pretty duet in character, and Johnny Collins and Carl Browne were exceedingly amusing in their comic sketches, particularly in • the very funny burlesque on "The Georgia Magnet." Mr Manuel Woodson introduced a new feature in his wonderful acrobatic turn, in which he appeared as the mythological Mercury, attended by two beautiful fays in the persons of Misses Ethel. and Marie Keziah. Mr Johnny Collins did exceedingly well in his Irish songs and was encored, and the LeslieBrothers created great laughter and applause in their clever musical comedy. The three Keziah Sisters again performed their daring feats on the "Silver Ladders," and a very] amusing farce closed a first-rate per« formance.

The company appear again this evening. On Saturday night there will be a change of programme.
