DREDGING AT, COROMANDEL.

CENTRAL DREDGING CLAIM,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

The test parcel of two loads of silt from, this claim has just been treated at the Thames, yielding the satisfactory return of loz. sdwts., or little more than 12dwts. per load. As there is abundance of silt of similar quality to be obtained and with suitable appliances, the claim should pay handsomely. The claim is situated on the foreshore between the Coroma<ndel and the Hauraki Company's wharf. The silt just treated was taken from a he^p obtained from the shaft put down near the workings of the Hauraki Main Lodes Company. It is stated there is abundance of similar material which can be cheaply got out.
