Mr Allen, licensee of the Clarendon Hotel, died yesterday. The East Christehurch School Committee passed a resolution urging the Minister for Education to improve the method of election of Boards of Education. ■ HAWERA, Monday. Mr Walter Wilson, member of the Hawera County Council for some years, and president of the Egmont Agricultural and Pastoral Association, an old and respected settler, died yesterday.
