WAIPIPI ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary meeting- of the Waipipi Eoad Board, was held on Saturday July Bth. There were present Mr A. M. Barriball (in the chair) and Messrs Muir and Neil. Mr Neil reported that no steps had been taken by the occupiers of the properties fronting- the by road leading to Mrs Holland's (Whiri Whiri) to clear the gorse. It was resolved to call, for tenders for clearing the gorse on this road. ~ Mr Muir spoke of a paragraph he had seen in the "Weekly News" of the Ist inst., with reference to opening up the lower road from Awhitu to Waiuku. Mr Muir, as member for the Northern portion of the district, said he was in favour of opening a portion of the road in question, from Waiuku to Te Toro, but did not consider the remainder would be of any valued any of the ratepayers of this district. Accounts to the amount of £20 were passed for payment,
