CINNABAR SYNDICATE.
We cut the Cinnabar in the drive | yesterday, on the opposite side of the i spur from the outcrop. It is from j eighteen inches to two feet thick, but j nothing defined; rather jumbled up; ; but some of it shows very rich ore. j Will continue the drive to the end j of the week, so as to get well to the I other side of the lode. HAUKAKI ASSOCIATED. No. 3 . Level: Have continued the j drive on the Calcite leader another; three feet, and have met with the j cross lead, as expected. This proves i to be the main portion of the footwall i leader, which, gave such excellent re-j turns above the No. 2 level. Uhe j leader has only just been broken \ into, a very little quartz having been j taken out, but it is a very nice look-1 ing body of quartz, from one to three inches wide, and as everything con- \ nected with it is favourable I expect j to get gold now at any time. Shall start on Monday next a rise to connect with the winze which has been sunk below the No. 8 level.
