POLICE APPOINTMENTS.
It is stated that Sergeant Kiely (Blenheim), Sergeant Wilson (Palmerston North), Sergeant McDonald (Invercargill) and Chief Detective O'Brien (Dunedln) hav6 been appointed- sub-inspectors ol the police force, in accordance with the recommendations of Commissioner Tunbridge, laid before Parliament last session.
