THE SYDNEY CUP.

Twenty-six horses have made the final payment for the Sydney Cup, run on Monday next. This afternoon's racing at Randwick will throw light on the probable result, for the winner of the Doneaster Handicap v and St. Leger will then have been made known. Judging from the cablegrams to hand and the backward move of Bobadil in the Cup betting there is reason to think there is something amiss with Mr Wilson's colt. If he is not one of the field on Monday, the winner may prove to be Clarion or Merloolas.
